Pay : HK$34,070 to HK$39,485 (HGPS point 13 to 16) per month including Monthly Allowance
Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.
Key Responsibilities
The appointee will be responsible for the following main duties:
1. Assist in carrying out periodic building inspection for early identification and rectification of defects in existing public hospitals and institutions.
2. Conduct daily patrol in common areas and work places to identify defects / signs of defects.
3. Assist in coordination with end-users for arrangement of repair works.
4. Supervise the repair works to ensure quality and timely delivery.
5. Work according to duty roster and attend emergency calls after office hours as requested.
6. Perform other related duties as required and assigned by supervisor(s).
Entry Requirements
1. (a) Ordinary Certificate in Building Studies from the Hong Kong Polytechnic / Hong Kong Polytechnic University / Hong Kong Technical College / Hong Kong Technical Institute / Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education, or equivalent; or
(b) Completed a recognized Technician Apprenticeship in a building discipline;
2. At least 3 years of relevant post-qualification experience;
3. A knowledge of English and Chinese equivalent to Form 3 (before 2012) / Secondary 3 standard;
4. Obtained valid Construction Industry Safety Training Certificate (Green Card).
Preferred Attributes / Exposure
1. Knowledge of other common office automation (e.g. e-mail, Internet / Intranet, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, AutoCAD and other MS Office applications, etc.)
2. Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
3. Responsible, self-motivated and able to work independently under minimal supervision.
4. Outgoing and able to work under pressure and stressful situation, including crises.
5. Formal training in occupational safety and health.
